The expanse of the cosmos
the flicker of the flame
of human life
both are precious
in your holy sight
Creating all there is
our of nothing more than your thought
speaking the universe into creation
the work of your loving hands
Life breathed into us
from you, our Lord
raising us up
on trembling feet of clay
Set as sovereigns over the earth
walking the land
your servants in the garden
yet sheep under your care
Only by your love
your infinite grace
mindful of man
these we are a whisper
merely dust of the earth
