His Fate a Lesson

We can learn from the dead
the story directly from God
the fate of the rich man
a clarion call, a quake to shake the earth

Our future matters,
relevant to each one
the hope of heaven awaiting
but not for all of us

Dependent on changing
leaving the way of the world
taking the message from Jesus
and care for our neighbors in need

We are to love one another
lifting our brother, our sister up
caring for those who need us
the last, the least, the lost

None of us are special
all come before the judgment seat
our lives to be true to our faith
if we want to see paradise
