The Judgment Final
The canyon, the chasm
the unrepentant divide
the judgment final
coming to all mankind
when our days
on earth are done
The judgment final
based on our faith
our walk in this life
the sum of our free will
the grace of God
in him alone relief
Yet the choice ours to make
like the rich man
to walk around our neighbors
ignoring their needs
denying God’s commands
to follow the world
Our fate in our hands
a free gift of God
his arms open wide
to the gates of paradise
we are the ones to
turn from the path
and go the way of all flesh
