Living for Himself
The judgment of the rich man
not like the beggar
sitting in the place of the dead
in his misery
Living for himself
all the days of his life
not following the law
the word of God revealed
in the pages of holy scripture
His end like our own
if we fail to change, to follow God,
to turn from the ways of the world
ignoring our neighbors
We are his brothers
the ones whom he prayed over
ours to choose which path to take
what way we will follow
