Turning from the world
looking toward your face
to come near to you Lord
to feel you love and your grace
To walk with You
right by my side
my thoughts open to You
nowhere can they hide
Packing for a journey
focused only on You
following You when You call
Your story is ever true
Leaving for Emmaus
anticipation for this time
to walk the dusty road
and write a few words of verse
whatever their meter and rhyme
