with them in their pain

Like Christ, we need to be more vigilant
showing true compassion
walking with our neighbors
with them in pain, in trials
adding a balm, certain of our presence
sharing God’s mercy, Christ’s light
the glow of God’s radiance
able to heal them, to heal all of us
