Christ certainly had the power
for He is God, eternal
he could have turned from the cross
choosing to govern
to rule the kingdom
to subjugate the Romans
he could have been the conquering king
but he chose the path to Calvary
the way of the servant
faithful to God’s calling
living a life without sin
