the rest of the week

After the procession
the shouts of hosanna
the joy of the palms
yet soon they were underfoot
drying on the ground
the joy turned to rage
the anger, Christ’s trial
Christ’s life on the cross
the rest of the week unfolding
the journey of his life
for this very purpose
the pain he would suffer
because he chose to pay our cost
