we were in that crowd

Those on the sidelines
not the front row
those when hosannas were sung
when the tide turned against him
when the crowd became angry
what kind of king was this
how were we to be released
was this the Messiah,
the chosen One of God
how was he to save us
we were in the crowd
when they crucified Jesus
caught up in the moment
the judgment on our Savior
