God in the judgment seat
our lives in the dock
the world’s sin condemned
someone must pay the price
the cost of our disobedience
our lack of faith
our denial of God first place
His will over our own
the pilot of our lives
Christ choosing servanthood
the cup of suffering
willingly taking the cup
though trembling in his soul
human and divine
the truth of our Savior’s life
suffering as we would have
yet choosing the cross for us
sealing the breach with God
