Christ’s words, anticipating trauma
telling us still, to each trembling heart,
“Let not your hearts be troubled”
in the storms of human life
Abiding with us,
the indwelling spirit of Christ
promised by our loving God
Walking with us all of our days
even through darkness, shadows
there with us along our way
until we see him again
