Maybe not like Jesus
going to the mountains to pray
simply sitting on the hillside
enjoying the time of day
Going up to the high places
touching the face of God
simple pleasures of creation
feeling your presence all around
The sun bright and warming
the winds cool to my skin
taking off the outer jacket
to let the heat come in
Out on the hillside
the camera at my feet
letting my mind take it all in
the beauty from my seat
Holding onto the rock below me
my feet holding my perch
up on the hillside
God within my reach
