The sound of Rachel
continuing her crying
remaining in pain
long after the earth became quiet
after it stopped shaking
Remaining in pain
for the loss of her children
afraid to go inside
the bitterness too much to bear
But Christ there, in the chaos
the spirit with us
offering comfort
for those in despair
