A Beacon in the Darkness

With the urgency of revolution
shattering the tyrants
the rulers of this earth
subjugating the masses

Our voices should rise
with the passion of John
standing in the Jordan
calling the demons out

Washing us holy
in the waters of Christ
the blood of the lamb
turning us bright

Though we are salt
called to be spice
to stand on the lampstand
that we would be light

Sharing our Savior
the hope for all nations
A beacon in the darkness
to set all man free

The ultimate tyrant
the devil and his minions
seeking to enslave us
forever in our sin

God came to redeem
to heal our brokenness
we should be shouting
until all have heard

Like a viral revolution
one candle lighting another
all held up in protest
until the whole world is free
