A Dark Path

The shadow of death
the hope gone
a dark path
when we stray
from the Lord

We can choose
which way to turn
to the way of the cross
or the way of the world

God there waiting
his arms open wide
yet we have to come to him
to get to the other side

Our choice to make
turning from the world
to walk in his ways
to submit to his will
all of our days
