In the Time of Struggle

In this for the long haul
though we see sudden changes
the world being transformed
in minutes, days, and more

In the time of struggle
years of pent up frustration
people yearning to be free
to taste the fruits of their labor

Wanting to be free
out from under the despots
free to speak their minds
to associate with their neighbors

In the time of struggle
change on the wind
longing for their freedom
may their time begin
