In the Days of Freedom

Voices finding their voice
people shouting for justice
in the days of freedom
the people cry out

So many voices
so many nations
the dominoes falling
into oblivion

The pace shocking
boggling the mind
the voices rising
seeking to be heard

Life will never be the same
not just for these people
the world awakening
from the opiate of slumber

The belief in stability
the failure to hear
the cries of the people
yearning to be free
