I heard the footsteps of change
hope in these steps
throwing off the yoke of oppression
feeling freedom instead
The smell of the tyrants
the stench of their boot
leaving the stage for the people
oh let freedom take root
Nothing yet certain
where this change will lead
yet we pray for the people
rising to claim their rights
The hope of the world
in the love of God
and love for our neighbors
to the ends of the earth
