Given us a Savior

Not sometime in the future
not a prophesy of another time
Zechariah speaking, filled with the spirit
for God has given us a savior
come to save the world
knowing he is come
though he was still in the womb
the son of Mary, the cousin
of his own child
ready to enter the world
God as man, alive
Here to fulfill the ancient scriptures
of Isaiah and the rest
come to bring us back to God
oh eternal happiness
