Coming again
into our consciousness
the wonder of his star
the simplicity of the crèche
and the story of Mary, of Joseph
the shepherds, the wise men
our journey with them
to Bethlehem, to his birth
Coming again, the word
alive before creation
into the world, as a man
our king, our savior
the humble lamb
sacrificing himself
obedient servant
the altar of the cross
Coming again,
another prophecy fulfilled
into our hearts, into the world
now, in this season
with us on the journey
expectantly awaiting Advent
hopeful, waiting
for his coming again
at the end of the age
