Loving Us

God, prophesy complete
loving us, even when we doubt
even when we turn from his ways
giving us his son
to guide us back to him
John’s father speaking
the words of power
to the one who was mute
speaking of the day now come
the father sending his son
to heal the brokenness of earth
just as had been foretold
