Waiting in this present age
refugees in this time and space
birthed into this world
but of another place
Walking on our dusty path
learning to trust in him
traveling with our brother
the Christ, our savior, the king
Not knowing the time of the end
our lives of this earthly age
only waiting, our faith sustaining
until we come to heaven’s gate
Waiting, not of this world
placed within it alone
wandering, spreading
the good news of Christ
until our days here are done.
