given Voice

the mute given voice
ready to speak, to prophesy
to the one who was to come
come now, into the world
fulfilling the promise of God

another, born of his line
to be the one to make the way
to prepare the way for the Lord
leading us to him
offering us a way to enter in
out of the wilderness
