Weeks of Reflection

weeks of reflection, of prayer
of looking for the Christ child
in the coming days
waiting, actively waiting
not for the presents under the tree
but for Christ, reentering the world
touching us, our lives anew
in the rush of the season
the commercial aspects
slowing for the spiritual
for what truly lasts
Remembering the Christ
born of this earth
coming that we may all
have a heavenly rebirth
