Prophecy Fulfilled

Proclaiming, filled with the holy spirit
the prophecy fulfilled
Christ, the Messiah come
to save us, to fulfill the promise
the root, the shoot
God creating a righteous branch
from David’s holy line
Divine man, Christ
born a lowly birth
His son, given as Samuel
to be a servant of the Lord
Together preparing the way
the Way of life revealed
the prophecy of old fulfilled
just as God said he would
