Distracted from Our Gifts

Back into the darkness
the destruction of the world
if we focus on these things
we die in our sin

Distracted from your grace
distracted from our gifts
the things we should share in love
that all would truly live

Coming to know
the master of our lives
that we would draw closer
to the living Christ

Remain open, ever
receptive to the Spirit’s call
seeking Christ’s perfect love
lending a helping hand

Acting on our faith
doing all we can
lifting our brother, our sister up
that they would see Christ again
