Raised to Live Anew

Our death on the cross
into the waters
dying to our history
to our sin
rising ever

Raised to live anew
a new creation
wholly different
going the opposite path
leaving the world
and following the cross

Sharing the Good News

In baptism, physically, meaningfully
sharing the good news,
the gospel of the Christ
in our actions, our submission
falling into the waters
dying to that which we were
like Christ being a sacrifice
choosing to join with him
into the waters, the depths
Rising with him, into the light
new creations, touched by the Spirit
made children of God, beloved
blessed with life anew
sharing the good news
the redeeming love of God
joining our lives with our brother
our savior, our King

Prayer of Dedication:
“Abundant God, we thank you for the jars of our lives
that are constantly being filled. We offer our gifts to you,
that others may know of your abundance and grace.
Fill the hungry with good things. Lift up the oppressed.
Watch over the stranger and comfort the lonely.
Through our gifts, may we do likewise.
In the name of Christ the Comforter, we pray. Amen”
