Wearing the Spirit

Standing in the windstorm
the gales of life
wearing the Spirit
a garment within me
sharing this journey
my walk on this earth

Protected from the elements
the challenges that befall us
steeled by the bit of Christ
dwelling in me

Listen to that Spirit
calling from deep inside
the armor of God
the fabric of Christ
living, breathing
with me all of my life
