The winds blowing
from many sources
seeking to distract
to pull us from you, oh Lord
Hearing your message
doing your work
trying to be faithful
seeing you ever Lord
in the winds of change
Our house, our lives
needing to be
anchored firmly in you
building on the foundation
of your love
obedient to your call
Mindful in the wind
the flood of the world’s call
seeking to wash us
from our perch
standing on shifting sands
Firmly on the rock
so we are called to be
fed by your word
hearing your voice
in the wind
calling me close to you.
