Do Not Debate

As we are called
to spread the good news
to make disciples
to the ends of the earth

Mindful of the commission
of the seventy-two
sent out in pairs
to prepare the way of the Lord

Offering peace, the good news
sharing the love of God
but only staying while welcome
not staying to fight with them

A choice and a warning
the coming of the Lord
the fields ripe for harvest
but the workers are few

Sowing seeds for the harvest
not debating with them
a distraction from the work
sharing till the day is done

Not standing in one place
if the message is not getting through
going from place to place
calling the believers home.
