Feeding the Spirit’s Fire

The Spirit of God, of Christ
dwelling within us
an ember of your love
burning inside of me

Feeding the Spirit’s fire
with your word, oh Lord
fanning flames with our prayers
conforming our lives to you

The Spirit’s fire
burning when we dare
listening to its guidance
knowing you are near

Feeding the Spirit
in using its power
going into the world
bearing the flame
the glory of God
that all may live again
