Remembering a bit of your grace
a gift to us in that moment
before our pain
in a twinkling of time
Though I didn’t know
unaware at the time
a gift of presence
of our family
come together in joy
Doing what he loved
as one body, one family
sharing the mountain
the place he loved so much
Only a few weeks later
the ice finding him tired
driving on the interstate
going toward his room
but finding eternity instead
God was in that moment
in the joy we shared with him
there too with my father
when he was called home to you
