captured in my mind
on the emulsion
an image reverse
on the fresh-cut lawn
only for fleeting moments
as the morning warmed
November sun rising
the lawn becoming wet
a cut out remaining
a silhouette of frost
the old sugar maple
captured
imprinted on the grass
