Remember God’s Gifts

Remember God’s gifts

speak of them openly

repeat them often

within the circle

to all generations

In times of crisis

when Christ feels far away

focus on our history

remember God’s gifts

God’s answer to prayer

Bits of grace heaped on us

by God, living waters,

when we felt close to Him

little pieces of meaning

meeting our daily needs

God close by us

filling some niche

something that we needed

though we may not be aware

all of our days

Even when we wander

when we are in the desert

struggle to sense Him

God with us always

just as God promised
