dry and parched – v2

starting where we are
something we can relate to
a feeling in our throats
dry and parched
longing for something to drink
so with our lives
our spirits within us
times of dryness, being parched,
of not feeling the presence of God
Jesus is the living water
the bread of life
giving food for our spirits
drinking all that we desire
that we may be full
full to overflowing
never to thirst again
to hunger in this path
except to be drawn closer
to the source of all life
