Uncomfortable,
shifting in my seat,
the tug of Your
calling
to leave the pews
the congregation,
safety with these
walls
to go where we
are led
to submit to You
our lives
to answer your
call
We pray for Your
guidance
an answer to our
yearnings
to live out our
faith more fully
what we feel in
our hearts
yet we long, we
linger
we wallow in our
comfort
growing only
inside
without serving
our neighbors
The world where
we are to work
out there beyond
the doors
to go as we are
able
not as we are
ready
using what we
have
the things we
have been gifted
to go as we are
led
to the ends of
the earth
Serving our Master
loving our
neighbor
bearing witness
to
the grace of God
in our lives
Going out beyond
these walls
into the street,
to do justice,
the radical
hospitality of Christ
a gift, showered
on us
