Maybe unable to stop
the world calling
in this holiday season
But maybe enough
to pause in our rushing
coming to your throne
to feel your grace
the warmth of your embrace
Feeling anew
the coming of our Lord
descending from above
from his heavenly home
Walking as a man
on this mortal coil
knowing the sweat of work
the yoke of human toil
Pausing in our rushing
going round about
sitting at our savior’s feet
feeling his endless love
Stopping the world
at least in bits and pieces
coming before our maker
the source of all that is good
Feeling anew
the magic of the season
the coming of our savior
the reason for our joy
Walking with the Christ-child
baptized into his service
going with our servant king
in the way of humbleness
