I want to be ready for Your coming
each Adventide
hearing the angel chorus
their singing on high
To see Your star
its rising in the night
bringing light into the darkness
proof of our new life
Knowing Your promise
to come once again
bringing us in victory
to our heavenly home
Calling in the night
when we least expect it
needing to keep our oil ready
when the bridegroom comes for us
