Speaking truth
agonizing, painful truth
speaking truth, his true fear
honestly, openly
Christ in the garden, Gethsemane
crying out to God
creator of heaven and earth
So may we come
on our knees, humbly
unafraid to speak
our concerns, our fears
shared with our maker
calling upon him
for the strength to go on
As Christ in the garden
submitting ourselves, our all
to God’s will, his heavenly purposes
able with him, though we are human
to be Christ in this world
spreading God’s love
to the ends of the earth
