Humbly Praying

In the way he taught us
humbly praying
coming before God
not with pretense but honesty

Praising him, our creator
Asking, seeking his grace
things we need only
to put a smile on his face

Mindful of our sins
asking for forgiveness
compassion for our neighbors
his strength in temptation
