No right words,
but a shining example
Jesus teaching us how to pray
focusing first upon the mighty
what we must not do
if we are to follow
our savior’s way
No long speeches
no false piety
meaningless words
all fade away
Instead, coming humbly
speaking honestly
to almighty God
Praising him, the true creator
seeking him here upon the earth
trust that he will provide
looking to him to heal us within
That he would walk with us
all of our days here
helping us to have compassion for our neighbor
that we would not fear the darkness
his strong hand we would cleave to
in him alone
will we find eternal rest
