His faith being tested
trust in God
sweat falling heavy
like blood splattering
on the ground
Christ, the disciples sleeping,
praying in the garden
that the cup may pass by him
that he may live
another day
Struggling, in anguish
fighting off temptation
to run from the cup before him
faithful to his path
submitting to the father’s will
