The Lord, while with the twelve
teaching in us how to pray
not with words grandiose
our with a great show
Being honest, in the secret of our hearts
speaking with love, praise to the Lord
coming to the father with reverence
knowing he will provide
Not all of our wildest earthly fantasies
just what we truly need
God’s love knowing what we will ask
even when words will not come
Trusting in the Lord to provide
leaving the timing to him
going humbly before our king
offering praise in his holy name
