Coming to our senses

Wringing our hands, rebelling
thrashing in the world
feeling lost, alone
not knowing where to turn

Out in the world,
the chaos, the noise
darkness closing in around us
not knowing where to turn

Coming to our senses
returning unto God
each prodigal son and daughter
the same journey on this earth

God here waiting
his arms open wide
wanting us to turn
to come be by his side
