The two thieves – the choice we face

The two thieves
exactly the choice we face
what we are to choose from
life or the pit, Sheol
One to damnation
the other to paradise.
Right after Christ prayed for forgiveness
because they know not what they do,
with their spit, his blood,
dried, still upon him.
his prayer for reconciliation
for healing from God
but like the two thieves
we must make a choice
to die in the flesh
or be raised to paradise
