It passed just the same

Each day, each year
cut from the bolt, the cloth
given unto us, to be used
some for growth, others struggle
one for sorrow, another joy
yet one as the next, unchanging
each passed just the same
so it is with all life
our days on the earth
some with sadness, some with hope
all just the same
given unto us, to be used
all of them the same
