How awesome is the foolishness of God

His love, overwhelming
when I stop and think about
the pain, the hurt, I cause him
the stain of my sin

All of that heaped on God
taken to the cross
the cup of my sorrow
taken to Christ’s lips

How awesome is the foolishness of God
forgiving me through and through
healing me of my brokenness
bringing me back to You
