God Filling Himself

God, Father and Son
filling himself with our sorrow
the with the stain of our sin

The stuff of heaven emptied
God poured out
the holy essence of heaven
replaced with the stuff of earth

The Godhead dying
going to the cross for us
in dying with him
we may have eternal life

God providing substitute lamb;
Christ becoming the sacrificial lamb
with no substitution;
the pain of the Father on Good Friday
when his son died for us.
