Failing in our living
to follow the commands
the laws to live by
in our walk on the earth
All of us guilty
when measured by
the plumb line
none of us straight
Only through Jesus
the grace of our savior
the Spirit’s calling
changing our feet
We can be better
though still unworthy
conforming our steps
to our master’s feet
Sharing Christ
so all would know God
not because of us
but in spite of our flaws
More to do
that all would know Jesus
each of us gifted
for the work already begun
