A Reciprocal Promise

The covenantal relationship
affirmed on entering in
not to be perfect
but striving to be faithful
to our God and king

His promise in return
an everlasting presence
living with us his people
sharing our walk with us
the sheep of his flock

Grace he gives us
far more than we deserve
in loving fidelity
as we seek to know his word
our hope is in God
